    A review of the debit system used in the New Canaan Public Schools food service program is underway in the wake of the alleged theft of $478,000 in cash from the food service over a five year period, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Bryan Luizzi told the Advertiser last week and the Audit Committee meeting on Monday, Oct. 15.     Cost of teacher salaries estimated to rise 3% next year under new contract

    The net effect of the new contract agreement between the Board of Education and the New Canaan Public Schools public schools teachers union is a teacher salaries cost increase of about 3% per year, or 9.2% over the course of the three-year deal.
